Pistol Shrimp

A  can make a sound louder than a gunshot to stun its prey. As these shrimp snap their claws together, a jet of water spurts out at 96 kilometres per hour, resulting in a low pressure ‘bubble’. A collapse of the bubble then leads to the ‘bang’ that can be louder than a jet engine.
